Largan Precision's subsidiary "Largan Health AI-TECH" unveils new medical product "DOMII" – Lin En-ping: Aiming to become a household essential.

Optical lens industry leader Largan Precision (3008) continues its diversification efforts, and its medical subsidiary, Largan Health AI-TECH, has successfully launched its first sleep monitoring product, "DOMII," in major medical centers in Taiwan. Today, it has obtained certification from the Taiwan Society of  Sleep Medicine , marking a domestic first. Lin En-ping, Chairman of Largan Precision, expressed about the development of the medical era, stating that he hopes DOMII will become a essential in every household" in the future.

Largan Health AI-TECH is a strategic move by Largan Precision into the medical sector. When asked about when Largan Health AI-TECH will make a substantial contribution to Largan Precision, Lin En-ping responded with "the sooner, the better." DOMII is currently in its early stages, making it challenging to set specific goals. Lin En-ping emphasized that the more people who use DOMII, the better. In addition to penetrating major medical centers, there are plans to expand into households and international markets in the future. However, when asked about other product plans for Largan Health AI-TECH, Lin En-ping, maintaining his habit of using local expressions, simply responded, "haven't thought about it yet."

DOMII, developed by Largan Health AI-TECH, is a medical-grade sleep cloud that refers to Harvard Medical School's cardiopulmonary coupling (CPC) theory. The DOMII as the size of an Oreo cookie, allows users to attach it to their chest and use a oximeter to detect physiological signals during sleep. It can analyze information such as apnea, sleep quality, and sleep position. After uploading the data to the cloud, reports are generated at the hospital or clinic.

Compared to commercially available smart bracelets and watches, Lin En-ping pointed out that DOMII has a scientific basis. In addition to domestic certification, it has also received approval from the FDA, making it the only sleep monitoring product in Taiwan with medical certification. There is possible for expansion into overseas markets, although it is currently in its early stages in Taiwan. DOMII has already entered major medical centers such as National Taiwan University Hospital, Taipei General Hospital, China Medical University Hospital, and Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital. The goal is to reach the general consumer market, although the distribution in pharmacies and other areas will depend on regulations.

Regarding future applications of the product, Lin En-ping indicated that DOMII's high detection accuracy could potentially extend to monitoring other cardiac conditions, such as monitoring for irregular heartbeats. Both the hardware and software of DOMII are developed by Largan Health AI-TECH, with the Android system already written and the iOS system in progress, although Lin En-ping mentioned that "there are no major issues."

As a former physician, Lin En-ping expressed his desire to invest more attention in the medical field. He revealed that he had tried DOMII for "one night," but because the results were normal, he did not continue testing. He mentioned that he sleeps well regularly and maintains his health through "meditation" practices.
